I work late, my kids have sports, my parents are in town, etc. Does this sound a little bit, like you? Well I'm telling you from my own experiences, both as a parent and a professional- things can get crazy, I know!
Yet, what I also know is this: If getting into shape is important to you, then you must make working out a part of your life! In fact, you must make it a priority amidst your busy schedule. The beauty of this, is that it can be done-trust me!
My suggestion is that you allot between 30 to 60 minutes for yourself, 2-4 times per week. If you really think about all of the things that you may do unnecessarily each day, I would venture to say that the time spent on those things would surpass the mere 30-60 minutes per week for yourself, for exercise!
Once you recognize how much time you're wasting, doing things that aren't beneficial to your figure and your health- you may notice that you'll be able to allot even more time for exercise, each week. But, that's the first step- recognition!
So, after you've now cleared the treadmill of coats and clothes, why do you need a personal trainer? Maybe, you don't. However, numerous studies have shown that working with a trainer not only enhances your workouts and allows you to achieve your goals much more quickly and effectively, working out with a trainer also keeps you motivated and compliant!
Our tasks as trainers are to design programs for YOU! That's right, your goals as they pertain not only to your desire to get into shape, but possibly modifying the workout as a result of your bad knee, back, high blood pressure, fitness level, etc. From here, we design a specific target heart rate range, repetition and set, range and specific exercises for YOUR goals!
It's like getting your hair done, do you go to just anyone? Ofcourse not! You trust your hairdresser to make you look and feel your best as per the look you want and what you discuss. Think of a personal trainer as a hairdresser for your body and health!
Now, start the recognition process as aforementioned, start this year off with confidence and commitment and do this! You can!
All the best,
Mike, Owner/Head Trainer: Mike's Multi Training, LLC. Mountain Lakes, NJ.
